To start with, you need to get your essential supplies in order. Get a dog coat conditioner and a decent sized brush if your dog has a long coat. Plus, you’ll need a large towel for your dog. Then you need to make sure you’re wearing clothes that you don’t mind about getting wet. The entire affair will work better if your puppy is hungry; so do not feed him 6 hours before the bath. To make sure your dog behaves well, give him some treats when in the bath. Make it seem enjoyable to your dog. Now it’s time for a thorough brush-and-comb. Its important to make sure the puppy’s coat gets brushed properly before the tap comes on. Rub conditioner on the puppy’s fur and massage it in.

Pay attention to the areas behind your dog’s ears. Tell your puppy how good he is at having a bath and reward him with treats. Show him his toy and let him play with it a little in the tub before you turn on the water. Use something gentle on a puppy’s head, like a baby shampoo. Also, check the temperature of the water before spraying it on your puppy. Then the fun part! Gently spray mild warm water onto its fur. Massage some shampoo into the dog’s fur. It is also useful to use a scrub brush to massage the shampoo in. Once this is complete, rinse the shampoo and repeat the process. You’ll always find that there’s more soap to get out! Finish with a conditioner for dogs and wrap your puppy in a large towel.
